With a number of new customs being finalized and the next batch in prep, I am reminded of how grateful I am of those fans of my work. It's very satisfying to paint models on commission and I hope with each piece that I continue to grow and stretch my abilities. I do love a challenge and appreciate how people who commission me and who have come back several times over continue to stretch my abilities.
Several people have been kind enough to keep me abreast of show placings of their "Arcadian" horses. Most of these reports are shared on my Yahoo Group in greater detail since we are like a little family of sorts and I thought I would highlight some of those here.
Randi Brazil has been having a lot of success with a Shawn McNeely customized Stone Chip Drafter named Fleetwood Mac. He has seen numerous top placings and champ/reserve titles to date.
Iva Kimmelman reported in that her bay pinto haired Matriarch qualified for the Region X Regional show, her cremello painted Strapless, Full Moon, placed top five in breed, and Incantation, a black tovero haired and remade ISH, took a second place in Breed.
Brenda Bednar saw success with Crispie Honeysuckle Spot winning a championship at the Region X Regional Stakes Show.
Shawn McNeely saw a top award with a newly completed piece she remade and I painted for her - a baby bay Clydesdale foal stablemate.
Colleeen McNamara saw top honors with her blue roan appy Wee Wyakin, Cattawampi.
For those reading this blog, I do hope to post in the next few weeks a special offer/contest. Each year I have offered a contest involving a special commission slot. This year will be no exception. Stay tuned for details and how to enter!
Next time, I will do the third installment of the resin kit horse and a special interview with Shawn McNeely - the Plastic Surgeon!
